MOTOP Warranty & Return Policy
1. Overview
Motop products are designed and manufactured to meet high standards of quality and durability. All Motop tents and accessories are covered by a comprehensive nationwide warranty to ensure customer satisfaction and confidence in our products.
2. Warranty Coverage
Tents
Motop rooftop tents are covered by a 2-year nationwide warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and structure, starting from the date of purchase.
Accessories
Motop tent accessories (including annexes, ladders, and mounting kits) are covered by a 1-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
3. What the Warranty Covers
This warranty covers defects that arise from:
- Manufacturing faults in the structure or materials.
- Structural failure under normal, intended use.
If a warranty claim is approved, Motop will, at its discretion:
- Repair the product,
- Replace it with the same or equivalent model, or
- Refund the purchase price if repair or replacement is not feasible.
4. What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The warranty does not apply to:
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance (e.g., water ingress due to lack of reproofing, mold caused by storing the tent wet).
- Damage resulting from accidents, impact, or exposure to extreme weather conditions (storm, hail, strong wind, etc.).
- Wear and tear, including fabric fading, UV deterioration, or corrosion due to salt exposure.
- Damage caused by improper installation or modification.
- Cosmetic issues such as minor scratches, stains, or marks that do not affect performance.
- Zipper damage caused by forced operation or fabric snagging.
- Any loss or damage caused by theft, attempted theft, or natural disasters.
- Products not fully paid for or purchased from unauthorized resellers.
5. Warranty Claim Procedure
To make a warranty claim:
1. Contact Motop or your place of purchase with proof of purchase (invoice or receipt).
2. Provide photos or videos clearly showing the defect.
3. If required, return the product to the nearest Motop service centre or authorized dealer for inspection.
Motop will assess the claim and notify you of the outcome. Approved claims will be processed within a reasonable timeframe.
6. Return Policy
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. Returns may be accepted if:
- The product is unused and in its original condition and packaging.
- You provide proof of purchase.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the product is deemed faulty under warranty.
7. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
