Ready for the Rugged. Refined for Comfort.

The MT-135 PLUS Next Gen rooftop tent is purpose-built for Aussie touring, with premium materials, smart design, and everything you need included — no hidden extras. Designed around a lightweight yet incredibly strong 20mm alloy honeycomb shell, this tent gives you serious durability without dragging down your roof load.

You get all the entry points — both sides and the rear — each triple-layered with midge mesh, canvas, and thermal lining to handle whatever the conditions throw at you. A 360° rainfly, rugged powder-coated finish, and full perimeter rubber sealing keep the weather out and comfort in.

Inside, it’s a step above: high-density memory foam mattress, blackout canvas for midday sleep-ins, and a detachable thermal liner for colder nights. There's even an integrated electrical system with LED lighting, USB & Type-C charging, and a ventilator fan to help push out condensation.

And because we know the extras matter, it comes complete with roof racks, ladder, shoe bags, anti-condensation mat, storage pockets, and German-made struts — all standard. No fluff, no upsells — just a seriously capable setup, ready to bolt on and roll out.

    Spacious & Strong Shell

Built tough with a full alloy shell and side extrusion panels. The roof and floor feature a 20mm thick alloy honeycomb core — strong, lightweight, and made to last. No rivets anywhere — all joints are sealed with industrial-grade sealant to keep water and dust out, no matter the conditions.

Waterproof & Breathable Canvas with 360° Rainfly

Made from 300GSM tear-resistant canvas, this setup is built for all-weather touring. It’s fully weatherproof and dustproof, with a blackout inner layer that blocks out daylight — perfect for a sleep-in, even at midday.

Memory Foam Mattress & Thermal Cotton Inner Layer

One of the biggest upgrades in the new Motop tent — comfort. You get a high-density memory foam mattress with a removable, washable cover, plus two memory foam pillows included.
    Mattress thickness: 80mm.

Don’t want to lug around extra bedding? The detachable thermal liner helps trap warmth in colder weather.
In the warmer months, just take it out — it’s quick and easy to fit back when needed.

    • Before driving: Always check mounting brackets and secure closures.

Which Roof Top Tent is best for you?

    • Soft Shell

    • Hard Shell

    • Hard Shell Expander

Soft shell tents are a great option if you're after maximum space without blowing the budget. They fold out into a large sleeping area — ideal for families or longer trips. Most come with annexes and extra room for gear, but they do take longer to set up and are bulkier when packed. Great if you’re staying put for a few days and want plenty of room to move.

Hard shell tents are all about speed and simplicity. They’re sleek, compact, and can be set up in under two minutes — perfect for overnighters or quick getaways. With better insulation, aerodynamics, and weather protection, they’re ideal for couples or solo travellers. The trade-off? Less interior space and usually a higher price point.

    Shop Hard Shell RTT

Expandable hard shells give you the best of both worlds — fast setup with a bit more room. They open like a regular clamshell but include an additional fold-out section to expand the sleeping area. You still get the strength and low-profile of a hard shell, just with more space inside. Slightly heavier, but worth it if you want comfort without the hassle.
