    X Series AX – 580 Plus

The AX-580 Plus is the flagship of the Motop X Series — built tough for serious touring, with premium comfort and features throughout. Its full aluminium construction uses 20mm honeycomb panels and CNC-cut extrusions for a strong, rattle-free setup that’s sealed tight against water, dust and wind. The 280GSM blackout canvas, thermal lining, and triple-layer entry protection keep you warm, dry and shaded, while the built-in ventilation fan and AC access port ensure airflow in all climates. Inside, a plush 60mm memory foam mattress and anti-condensation mat offer sleep-in comfort, with LED lighting, USB charging, and storage throughout. The AX-580 also comes fully loaded with German gas struts, two roof racks, dual shoe bags, and a 2.3m powder-coated ladder — everything you need to hit the road, already included.

    Spacious & Strong Shell

Built tough with a full alloy shell and side extrusion panels. The roof and floor feature a 20mm thick alloy honeycomb core — strong, lightweight, and made to last. No rivets anywhere — all joints are sealed with industrial-grade sealant to keep water and dust out, no matter the conditions.

Waterproof & Breathable Canvas with 360° Rainfly

Made from 280GSM tear-resistant black-out canvas, this setup is built for all-weather touring. It’s fully weatherproof and dustproof, with a blackout inner layer that blocks out daylight — perfect for a sleep-in, even at midday.

Memory Foam Mattress & Thermal Cotton Inner Layer

One of the biggest upgrades in the new Motop tent — comfort. You get a high-density memory foam mattress with a removable, washable cover, plus two memory foam pillows included.
    Mattress thickness: 60mm.

Don’t want to lug around extra bedding? The detachable thermal liner helps trap warmth in colder weather.
In the warmer months, just take it out — it’s quick and easy to fit back when needed.

Which Roof Top Tent is best for you?

    • Soft Shell

    • Hard Shell

    • Hard Shell Expander

Soft shell tents are a great option if you're after maximum space without blowing the budget. They fold out into a large sleeping area — ideal for families or longer trips. Most come with annexes and extra room for gear, but they do take longer to set up and are bulkier when packed. Great if you’re staying put for a few days and want plenty of room to move.

Hard shell tents are all about speed and simplicity. They’re sleek, compact, and can be set up in under two minutes — perfect for overnighters or quick getaways. With better insulation, aerodynamics, and weather protection, they’re ideal for couples or solo travellers. The trade-off? Less interior space and usually a higher price point.

    Shop Hard Shell RTT

Expandable hard shells give you the best of both worlds — fast setup with a bit more room. They open like a regular clamshell but include an additional fold-out section to expand the sleeping area. You still get the strength and low-profile of a hard shell, just with more space inside. Slightly heavier, but worth it if you want comfort without the hassle.
